IRONMEN
Saturday night we had our annual Out Door night. This year Neal and Brad talked about what kind of training it took to do a Iron Man race. The commitment, discipline, planning, nutrition and equipment as well as training partners and support network you need to have to prepare for a race before hand. It was very interesting to hear about what it took to get ready for a race like this if you wanted to be able to do it and to do it well. They shared the difficulty's of completing a Triathlon.
There is a training schedule you need to follow as you prepare for doing a Iron man.
God's word also talks about how to train for life's race.
Isaiah 40:31 King James Version (KJV)
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
After the dinner what is called a super moon came out and reminded us of God's creation and that
We are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 New Living Translation (©2007)
Brad and Neal both said that they found out from their training that they could do a lot more than they ever thought possible.
Are we living up to God's potential for us and doing the good things He has planned for us?
