Rewired for Service

On Wednesday night the word "service" in Summer of Service took on a new meaning - as in flipping a switch and turning the service on or off. We took down part of the lights in the fellowship building and rewired them and put them back up in a different direction. Some of us even got to experience a whole new world by climbing the secret ladder into the attic. Almost like going to Narnia by going through the back of the wardrobe.

In rewiring the fellowship building for use as a student center it has an almost Narnian-like metaphor, with words like 'making good connections,' 'positive and negative', 'being grounded,' and 'power supply.'

Most of us don't know a lot about electricity but we do know that we can be a conduit for God when we plug in and serve.
