The Mount Helen Saints

19 pilgrims and friends climbed our sleeping Volcano on Wednesday. Fantastic weather helped, as our trail boss Hal, got us off to a early start. As we gazed into the crater everyone could say it was worth the blood, sweat, and fears. For some it was the fear of failure and others the fear of not keeping up with the others. You can accomplish a lot when you have friends by your side.

The climb mirrored our Summer of Service as we help those who have a hard time keeping up with their yard and fixing things that they can't do by themselves. It's been a great summer and it was a great climb with friends. Just as we got back from our climb, Jack , Robert and the SOS crew started on their climb. Climbed up on Jerry Noordhoff's roof and swept the moss off and cleaned up his yard. The altitude was different but the attitude was the same. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
