We had a great crowd with about 18 or 19 guys and Hal did the intro for our 3rd session of Stepping up.
In this lesson they talked a lot about mentoring and being mentored. Were there men who came along side you growing up or are there young guys who don't have a father figure in their life now that could use some friendship, some one to talk to when questions come up in life?
The Bible if full of exemplary models of discipleship: Moses mentored Joshua, Elijah mentored Elisha, Paul mentored Timothy and Titus, Peter mentored John Mark, and of course Jesus mentored his twelve disciples.
As men God is counting on us to be doers and not just hearers. Accept the challenge.
