We want to be in prayer for those that are suffering in Japan. Many are homeless and have lost loved ones and we want to encourage each other to reach out in compassion. Here are a couple of agency's that we recommend if you can give to help the hurting in Japan.
Aid Agencies
Medical Teams International is a Portland, Oregon based Christian ministry with a solid track record whose mission is to demonstrate the love of Christ to people affected by disaster, conflict and poverty around the world. www.medicalteams.org
WorldVenture is a mission sending agency associated with Conservative Baptist churches, and works with the Japan Baptist Fellowship. Immediate response will include distribution of basic needs supplies, digging out mud, clearing out debris, and more in impacted areas. Mid-term response will consist of rebuilding efforts for WorldVenture related churches and communities. Long term response will provide personal relief and assistance, including pastoral care and grief counseling, to people connected to WorldVenture ministries in Japan who were affected by this disaster. www.worldventure.com
