We eat good at our men's Bible study. Last night it was spaghetti and garlic bread, tasty brownies, scrumptious cupcakes, and cinnamon frosted pineapple cake. Of course everything was low cal—the coffee was decaf, and the lemonade was sugar free—fact or fiction?
We watched a DVD and it relayed how some believe everything will turn out good in the afterlife—better for some then others but still all good. This belief system didn't seem to hold up when put under the Biblical and historical microscope. But it sounded good and of course had good intentions. Do we really study and research the eternal plan for our life in the Bible, or is it more like a kids' game of hopscotch where we're humming, "don't step on a crack or you'll break your brother's back?" Is there a difference; does it matter between fact or fiction? Some of the guys shared about the time in their life they made a choice of who they would follow and what they came to believe truth was.
