Interpreting the Bible correctly

Hal decided we needed to taste real spaghetti. He made it the night before to let the spices and flavor of the sauce and meat blend into the pasta itself to produce that wonderful taste for us to enjoy. (I thought it was divine) John Palm said to get the correct meaning and flavor of a Bible passage you need to blend in when it was written, to whom,  about what, with the surrounding ideas of the chapter to really sink your teeth into it. This is know as the spaghetti translation of what John said. The bread pudding was also good and we'll leave it at that.

We thank John for coming the last two weeks and sharing with us the origin of the Bible and pointers on how to interpret it correctly. Romans gives us a good chance to use some of those pointers as Pastor Bob takes us through it in the following Sundays.

Our prayer requests for the week are:
John Barker sons as they travel back to the east coast
Uwe Wittig's friend Mitch who has cancer
Mark's dad in Memphis who is getting ready to see Jesus. Journeys mercy for Mark as he goes back
Don Clarks struggle with health problems
Dave Potts dad that he gets better and comes home from the hospital
Family of the Vancouver police officer who died
Family of Sheriff officer who died of a heart attack. (Dave Anderson)
Joe Hartmans recovery from surgery
Skip's recovery from surgery and diabetes complications
Michael's family is able to live together soon
Juan will be granted proper status and peace for the children
