We Woke, We Came, We Hiked

Waking at the crack of dawn, we stumble from our warm beds into cold clothes, our minds barely awake but trying find anything to warm us up. 6AM meet at the church and our bodies start waking up, meeting with our fellow hikers the excitement of the journey ahead begins to stir. About 20 of us from various ages and interests caravan out to the Columbia Gorge, a little foggy, but by the time we arrive at the Eagle Creek trail head the sun is starting to share its warmth. See all photos here.

Eagle Creek Hike

The day lacks nothing from the amazing towering swaying trees overhead, to the awe-inspiring thundering waterfalls, to the intense colors of the foliage all around, to the tiny creatures scampering about our feet. A 13 mile round trip hike, we all felt a bit of satisfaction as we finished the walk, it was long, we were tired, but we all knew it was worth just experiencing the beauty from the God who made it all.
