Summer of Service - June 23rd, 2010

Last night the Summer of Service men cut and split wood for Jerry, plus we did some weed eating and TLC for John and Marge Jessup. Mom Couture got a little spit and polish to her yard and we did some cleanup at the church with some gorgeous weather blessing our night. As you can see from the photos we're pretty good at mowing, clipping (thanks Andy for trimming up Robert), and a little door hanging with plenty of supervision. Did I mention the pizza and lemonade?

We also squeezed in our last planning for the Chili Cook-off on Sunday. Get ready to taste some of the best chili this side of the Pecos. We've got at least 10 cooks who think they can make you and the family bang your spoons on the tables craving a taste of their chili and cornbread. Don't forget the Rattlesnake Egg Sundaes to sweeten the deal. As this is a fund raiser for the Men's Ministry we only take greenbacks, checks, and gold nuggets.

Right after this coming Sunday's service hustle over to the fellowship hall and vote for your taste-bud explosion favorite.
